POSITION SUMMARY

Supports all aspects of products being produced to help reach goals of quality and efficiency. Works in cooperation with all departments and teams to operate equipment and produce quality products.

Here is what you will do...

  1. Serves as a positive role model consistent with Polo’s corporate culture at all times.
  2. Monitors daily team schedules to meet established customer delivery requirements.
  3. Conducts monthly meetings or as needed with teams, to review safety, production, quality, and convey management concerns.
  4. Troubleshoots problems.
  5. Supports and participates in product designs to develop and initiate improvements written and orally.
  6. Provides positive attitude for team involvement.
  7. Produces a quality product on time.
  8. Interacts well with others and is a strong team player.
  9. Checks schedule for operations requiring set-up.
  10. Pulls job instructions and history for specific operations.
  11. Sets-up machines for operations and tags with required attachments, threads, and raw materials.
  12. Produces pre-production samples for associates.
  13. Completes information needed on job history sheets, signs off when sets-up are complete, and approves for production.
  14. Aids in start-up of production.
  15. Insures continued level of quality according to first article.
  16. Trains new and existing associates for all phases of departments and products unfamiliar to them.
  17. Monitors new associates’ progress and makes recommendations in probationary period.
  18. Isolates parts for review.
  19. Maintains training materials and records for new and existing associates.
  20. Responsible for all process, equipment, associates safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity on the shift.
  21. Flexibility in training on multiple shifts and other satellite facilities.
  22. Works in a team environment to accomplish tasks both individually as well as through working with others.

Position Requirements

Here is what you will need to qualify…

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in production or lifetime experience. Two (2) years leadership equivalent.

 

Here are the skills we are looking for…

  • Provides training to develop knowledge skills and abilities of associates.
  • Ability to independently perform assignments with instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Knowledge of QA manual.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and self-motivational skills.
  • Organized, responsible, punctual, and self-disciplined.
  • Follows oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, machine functions, and test gauges in their department.
  • Knowledge of department operations and equipment and ability to make minor corrections when necessary.
  • Math and geometry knowledge (two dimensional)
  • Ability to read a blue print/customer drawing.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of math and reading skills.
  • Knowledge of raw material locations.
  • Ability to encourage and follow up on associates ideas and concerns for quality production.
  • Knowledge of all safety procedures and housekeeping practices.

Work kEnvironment

  • Exposed to Shop elements such as noise, orders, fumes
