Ohio Christian University is seeking a female Resident Director to manage daily operations of residence halls. The person in this role will perform administrative tasks, serve on-call, assist with emergency response efforts, mentor students, and help coordinate resident life training and programming. The desired candidate will carry out the mission of the University and the Office of Student Development to holistically meet the needs of students.

Hours per week: 40
Salary Range: Based on experience
Additional Compensation: Meal plan, housing, and utilities
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Duties and Responsibilities (Any one position may not include all the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification)
- Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate resident assistants
- Serves as a positive role model for students
- Respond to students emotional, personal, behavioral, and academic concerns
- Resolve conflicts and advise students regarding residential issues, makes referrals
- Submits maintenance and custodial tickets to enhance residence living
- Upholds university and Student Handbook lifestyle standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: According to Ohio Christian University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle Statement.
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in related field preferred
- Experience in a residence life role
- Strong organizational skills
