SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Service Contracts, the Assistant Manager of Service Contracts will provide leadership and supervision along with the Manger of Service Contracts to the Custodial Sr. Supervisor, Custodial Supervisor, Community Training Specialists, Nellis Food Service Operations and all workers (disabled and non-disabled). The Assistant Manager of Service Contracts will assist in the responsibility of daily contract operations and the health and safety of all employees and individuals served.  This person will ensure all individuals served have the opportunity to become contributing members of their community by having the options, support and encouragement to work in the setting of their choice, and to ensure that all vocational training is based on the needs and desires of the individuals served.

The Assistant Manager of Service Contracts will be responsible for planning the training schedule of the custodial teams to ensure all contract specifications are met to the highest standards.  Supervise teams when coverage is needed for the Manager of Service Contracts and assist in inspecting of sites to ensure completion of all periodic tasks as stated in the customer’s statement of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist and support with developing and maintaining a good working relationship with contract representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and contract retention.
  • Assist and Support overseeing supervisors to ensure compliance of scope of work (SOW) for every contract.
  • Evaluate contract specifications, maintain compliance and develop improvement plan if needed.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, development and retention.
  • Orient and train crew members in required cleaning techniques, new methods and procedures and equipment use and care.
  • Assist Manager of Service Contracts to ensure compliance and job specific training of health and safety information for all staff and individuals served within the contracts.
  • Audit time and attendance, audit weekly and data entry Paid Time Off information.
  • Maintain log book for inspections and training for each contract and will assist in the “start up” of new contacts and prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
  • Attend job specific seminars or classes as well as in service training.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Ability to care, respond and work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must encompass professional demeanor and to execute excellent customer service.
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge and have initiative.
  • Knowledge of custodial operations, food service sanitation operations and building maintenance and procedures.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years verifiable work experience in the building maintenance (multi-site) field with two (2) of those years in a managerial role for a multi-site organization.
  • Required: Valid Nevada Drivers License with a clean annual DMV report and must be twenty one (21) years of age in order to be eligible to drive company vehicles. Must complete and pass the Smith’s Driving Training Course administered by Opportunity Village.
  • Preferred: Prior experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
