Description

We seek a casual MRI Technologist who can pick up shifts to support our current team of technologists. Weekday and/or weekend shifts available. In addition to the hourly wage and MRI bonus program, the Clinic provides a 401k contribution to all employees, including casual.

The MRI Technologist performs MRI scanning procedures to meet patient and physician needs. Follows standardized MRI scanning protocols to ensure highest level of quality and safety is provided for each patient. Performs venipuncture techniques as appropriate for specific scans. Communicates patient information to radiologist in a timely manner, including any deviations from standardized protocols or technical components. Documents all patient incidents and/or concerns with scanning process. Works with MRI Patient Care Coordinators and radiologists to obtain prior comparisons prior to the scanning process, if needed. Performs billing and registration duties related to MRI scanning. Preps MRI schedules for final details prior to scanning. Reconciles imported patient exams in AMICAS PACS. Performs daily checks to ensure patient safety and cleanliness of MRI trailers.

 
Position Requirements

ARRT registration plus MRI certification.

At least two years of experience as MRI Technologist; familiarity with neurologic conditions highly desired.

Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills. Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.

Physical demands: requires long periods of sitting and working at computer terminal. Must work in small area inside mobile MRI truck. May assist in transferring/lifting patients as well as pushing/pulling patients who are in wheelchairs. Must be able to manipulate machinery and lift up to 40 pounds.
