Child (Alpha) and Adult Partial Substitute Therapist 

Description
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to the consumers in the Partial/Alpha Hospitalization Programs. This includes:
    • Planning and conducting group psychotherapy and other specialized therapy groups
    • Attending to needs of students in class (when in Alpha), and adults when in Partial
    • Be able to conduct assessments of safety, which includes physical, emotional, social and moral safety and utilize the S.E.L.F Model (Safety, Emotional, Loss and Future)
  • Provide case management services. This includes:
    • Communicating regularly with team members to facilitate consumer progress
  • Complete all appropriate documentation as needed. This includes:
    • Maintaining case notes, case files, service treatment plans and service treatment plan updates, case reviews, case revisions; and all paperwork relevant to ensuring complete, ethical, uninterrupted care for consumers
  • Conduct appropriate consultation with treatment team regarding clinical care and policies/procedures. This includes:
    • Attending weekly supervision with Program Director, and fully addressing all issues that impact quality of clinical care when available
    • Attending and participating in weekly case reviews when available
    • Attending and participating in clinical supervisions with the Center’s Clinical Director when available
    • Consulting department director on matters related to clinical care and policy and procedure when appropriate and as needed
    • Consulting with department director for all other matters as needed
  • Stay informed regarding and work according to state regulations, agency policies/procedures, and information related to this position. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Knowing and working according to state regulations;
    • Knowing and working according to agency policies and procedures;
    • Attending and participating in weekly program staff meetings when available
  • Attend all mandated trainings.
    • This includes all trainings for new employees
    • Ongoing trainings as needed
    • Credible Trainings
  • Adhere to the seven recognized Sanctuary commitments which includes, social responsibility, non-violence, open communication, democracy, emotional intelligence, growth and change.
 
Position Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, nursing, social work, sociology, education, criminal justice, counseling, or human services OR a diploma from an accredited school of nursing with at least one year’s experience working in the mental health field.
  • Act 33, 34, FBI Clearances and Act 31 (Mandated Reporter Training)
  • Training and experience conducting group and individual psychotherapy and other specialized therapy groups
