This position is for our Competitive Employability Training Academy (CERT)

Key Result Area:

  • Responsible for performing those duties and activities that are conducive for an effective and efficient daily operation.
  • Reponsible for personal characteristics necessary to develop attributes consistent with the educational community.

Core Job Functions:

  1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
  2. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech’s Adult Career Development program.
  4. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
  5. Responsible for performing those duties and activities that are conclucive for an effective and efficient daily operation.
 
Position Requirements
  • A minimum of three (3) years recent experience working with individuals with intellectual and or developmental disabilities in a formal classroom setting preferred.
  • Provide instructional and employment training support to the instructor in the training of students with intellectual and or developmental disabilities in a classroom and lab setting specifically in the area of culinary arts
  • Must be able to demonstrate attributes associated with a positive role model.
  • Must be adaptable to working with individual and cultural differences.
  • Would prefer an individual who has working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, email, and the Internet.
  • Hours not to exceed 30 per week.

Salary Schedule Standard Rate Schedule for Non-Regular (Temporary, Adjunct, Substitute) and Regular Part-Time Employees  
Hiring Range $17 per hour

About the Organization Tulsa Tech is the oldest and largest career & technical training center in OK. We are an independent public school district, with multiple campuses in the Tulsa County area. Our school serves secondary students from public school districts throughout Tulsa County, as well as private, parochial and home-schooled students. A significant adult enrollment is also served throughout the year in both full and part-time training programs. We also provide custom training programs for business and industry in NE Oklahoma. We employ school administrators, instructors, and support personnel to accomplish our vision and mission of developing a world-class workforce and preparing people for success in the workplace.
