Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Billing Specialist (Avon, MA)  Description POSITION SUMMARY: Prepare periodic payment estimates and various office duties relating to the Pavement Marking department. Support the Branch and General Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Managers and Engineers as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES: Prepare spreadsheets for all project billings by evaluating quantities on a line item basis from foreman's reports. Produce draft bi-monthly billings based on project spreadsheets and assist department managers in final billing submission. Reconcile quantity and payment discrepancies, and maintain all backup data for future billing purposes. Daily contact with general contractors, owners, etc. to verify quantities. May meet with general contractors and state agencies to resolve quantity problems. Analyze payroll reports and summarize on spreadsheet for billing. Provide data entry into accounting system from daily unloading slips. Prints and files related reports. Draft, type, fax, copy, file and keep records of project correspondence, reports, forms and other material. Answer telephone, if needed; redirect calls and conveys messages. Perform other work related duties as assigned.   Position Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree is highly preferred Three years of billing experience is required Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills as position requires working with several different people on various levels Ability to organize and prioritize workload and to meet deadlines Must have a high attention to detail Must be able to work in a face-pace construction office environment Must be able to operate computer and utilize Word and Excel and other related programs at an intermediate level.
