Share Email Opening Title Utility/One Call Technician - PA/MD  Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Utilize site plans, area maps, and blueprints, to locate sign locations for utility locates · Operate company vehicles in a safe and law-abiding manner. · Ensure proper maintenance and security of company vehicles · Thoroughly review tickets prior to and following all utility locate. · Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including site drawings or photographs. · Record survey measurements and descriptive data, using notes, drawings, sketches, and inked tracings. · Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records, and other relevant information. · Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. · Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction, using engineering plans.     Position Requirements Requirements: Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle report. Able to use a computer and other electronic equipment. Must be able to read a map. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and drive a motor vehicle. The employee is required to work with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally move traffic control devices as required by the job. The employee must be able to work in inclement weather. This job requires the use of both close vision and distance vision.
