The essential functions of the role include, but not limited to: The Warehouse Lead assists the Area Manager by providing work direction, supervision and coordination of the activities of workers engaged in product storage, loading, order picking, and/or receiving operations. Assigns tasks to workers as directed by Area Manager and monitors workload Picks, loads, and/or receives as required. Inspects orders for: accuracy, damage, packaging, and quality. Safely operates all equipment and/or machinery and performs routine safety checks and enforces safety policies, practices, and standards. Maintains department in neat and organized manner. Continuously suggest work method changes or improvements to Area Manager. Runs load status report and research discrepancies or missing orders. Ensures daily priorities are met.   Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations that includes picking, packing, receiving. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and other dimensions in standard and metric measurements.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply logical understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
