Role & Responsibilities

Members of Allen Corporation's McAfee Professional Services team provide our customers with architecture, design, deployment and operations services in a wide variety of environments including large, complex enterprise and critical infrastructures. Technical responsibilities include implementation, testing, solution deployment, solution operations and knowledge transfer.

Our McAfee Endpoint Security Consultants provide security solutions to our customers both on-site and remotely, with the capability of performing either independently or in a group environment. Candidates for McAfee Endpoint Security Consultant should be familiar with the best practice implementation and operation of McAfee ePO and ENS (at a minimum). Experience with additional McAfee Enterprise security products such as TIE, DXL, ATD, HIPS, MDE and DLP would be highly valued.

McAfee Endpoint Security Consultant Responsibilities Include:

  • Remote role supporting our McAfee customers (occasional travel to customer site may be required). Services will typically be delivered during the customer's local business hours. Consultant must be US-based.
  • Provide McAfee Endpoint Security Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
  • Experience with McAfee ePO and Endpoint Security (ENS), at a minimum.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux and Mac OS X Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of Network Communications Protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, LDAP, Netflow).
  • 3+ years of proven technical support experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications (Required)

  • Experience in the deployment, configuration and operation of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), MVISION ePO and McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS).
  • Ability to write technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in basic cybersecurity concepts.
  • Ability to provide knowledge transfer to customer staff for deployed McAfee product sets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with a minimum of 3 years directly related experience.
  • Equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Ability to implement McAfee Endpoint solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience in the deployment, configuration and operation of any of the following: Adaptive Threat Protection (Real Protect and Dynamic Application Containment), Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE), Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPs), File and Removable Media Protection (FRP), Web Gateway (MWG), Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE), Advanced Threat Defense (ATD), Network Security Platform (NSP), Drive Encryption (DE), and Data Exchange Layer (DXL).
  • Certifications: Certified McAfee Security Specialist ePO (CMSS-ePO), Certified McAfee Security Specialist ENS (CMSS-ENS), other security certifications (i.e Network+, Security+, CISSP)
