Ciera Bank has been serving Texas Communities since 1890 and we now have 8 locations. We are looking for a full-time Assistant Lobby Services Manager at our Flower Mound location. The Assistant Lobby Services Manager position is primarily responsible for Teller scheduling and for performing all the duties of a paying and receiving teller. This position requires a high degree of initiative, discretion, and judgement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Of the Assistant Lobby Services Manager)

  • Prepares weekly Teller work schedules to ensure all time periods are covered.
  • Assists Tellers with out-of-balance reconciliations ensuring appropriate correcting entries are made.
  • Performs annual performance evaluations.
  • Accepts and processes checking and savings deposits including night deposits; inspects deposit tickets and deposited items for completeness and correctness; validates customer receipts. Places holds on accounts to identify uncollected funds.
  • Cashes checks and savings withdrawals within prescribed limits; redeems savings bonds and certificates of deposit. Codes checks as a “first pay” transaction.
  • Processes credit card cash advances. Sells and prepares cashier’s checks.
  • Accepts and processes all types of loan payments, accepts safe deposit box rent and check orders.
  • Prepares daily totals and corresponding tickets for batch transactions (e.g., cash advances). Assembles and prepares, within an established schedule, all transactions for delivery to Proof Department for timely processing.
  • Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of currency and coins, balances cash drawer according to established schedule and performance standards. Balances vault cash advance and coin machine. Sells excess coin and currency to vault or buys coin and currency to maintain minimum but adequate draw supply.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding basic account information (e.g., account balance, check clearance, loan payoff, etc.). Prints account history if time allows. Prepares and encodes counter checks and deposit slips. Provides customers with locking money bags.
  • Participates in business development program through aggressive cross-sell efforts to established consumer, commercial and credit card customers, and referrals of prospective customers.
  • Orders and sells coins and currency from Fed.
  • Completes CTR’s for IRS.
  • Distributes cashier’s checks, dividend checks, trust checks, expense checks, CD interest forms, etc. to all departments.
  • Performs basic administrative duties (e.g., order supplies, adjust or setup machines, type, file, etc.)
  • Responds to customer inquiries concerning account balances and other bank-related information.
  • May open or close branch, main vault, or night deposit vault for the day.
  • Responsible for checking cash items GL every Friday & the next to last day of each month for clearance. If not all cleared, report the status of when it will be cleared.
  • Welcomes and interviews customers and prospects to acquire information and define personal and business financial needs; recommends and sells retail products to meet their financial needs and opens appropriate new accounts.  Enter new account information into computer system.
  • May open, replenish, or balance branch’s ATM or Cash Express machine according to established schedule. Logs and destroys intercepted ATM cards.
  • Ability to travel to other branches in the Flower Mound Region (Aubrey and Denton) as needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (Of the Assistant Lobby Services Manager)

  • High School diploma or equivalent, completion of Teller Training Program, completion of New Accounts Program.
  • 1 year in lobby services experience.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to operate CRT, teller machine, and 10-key calculator.
  • Ability to understand and apply all teller services, policies, and procedures including Bank Secrecy Act and Audit requirements.
  • Ability to understand and explain all retail products and services in order to sell Bank products and services and to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Ability to understand and operate retail computer systems and applications.
  • Intermediate oral and interpersonal skills with ability to recognize and respond to sales opportunities and coordinate workflow.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Of the Assistant Lobby Services Manager)

Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time and potential eyestrain from reading detailed printouts and computer screens. Deadlines, disgruntled customers, and workloads during peak periods may cause increased stress levels. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds such as cash drawers, files, documents, coins, and computer printouts; occasionally includes moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS (Of the Assistant Lobby Services Manager)

  • Internal – Primarily within own Branch; occasional contact with associate at the Bank’s main location or other branches for product support and problem research or resolution.
  • External – Extensive contact with customers to provide customer service, product information, and business development.
  • Supervision of Other – Direct or indirect supervision of lobby tellers.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY (Of the Assistant Lobby Services Manager)

This position is responsible for the management of the assigned cash drawer, branch’s cash vault and cashier’s checks and supervising tellers in lobby. Also, responsible for achieving individual referral and business development goals.
