Email Opening Title Regular Part-time Flex Lab Specialist  Description Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter. Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.) Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech’s Adult Career Development program. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.   Position Requirements Minimum of two (2) years experience teaching in a health related class/program required. Computer competency required. Experience using an online learning management system preferred. Facilitate part-time health career classes in a flexible format, including but not limited to Medical Assisting, Monitor Tech, CMA, Nurse Retention, and Nurse Refresher. Facilitate online health orientation courses. Create and update online curriculum for part-time health career classes. Maintain contact with regulatory agencies. Maintain all regulatory documents for the Oklahoma Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry in conjunction with the CMA training supervisor for the CMA related classes. Familiar with state laws affecting the CMA and Nurse Retention classes. Manage records related to student progress and required documentation. Work closely with and provide assistance to FLEX Lab instructors.
