Position Fiscal Grants Specialist  
Description

The Fiscal Grant Specialist performs a variety of duties in support of the Finance Department with respect to grants management and accounting functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manages grant accounts; creating accounts, review and verifying for accuracy, proper account charges, and spending.

Advises employees and managers on proper grant spending, reclassify expenditures as necessary.

Serves as a resource to the CFO on proper grants management.

Review payroll for appropriate grant reporting.

Prepares requests for funds.

Participates in end of year budget process.

Serves as resource advisor for Administrative team with respect to chart of accounts and proper account usage.

Review grant expenditure and revenue reports, reconcile the data, create invoices for the closure of each grant, completes actual final reports and uploads them.

Monitors grants for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Creates and generates extensive excel reports.

Performs a variety of related duties.

Performs other tasks as assigned by Controller and CFO.

 
Position Requirements

BA/BS in related field. Prior related experience strongly preferred.

As a healthcare provider, Southeast Healthcare hires non-smokers. COVID and flu vaccinations are required of new hires. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested during the hiring process.
