Position Overview

Reporting to the VP Finance & Controller, the FP&A Manager will lead a team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ad hoc financial support of business operations. This position will offer high visibility to executive leadership by providing insightful, accurate financial information while analyzing trends to identify key opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical leader with a passion for data, analysis, and has the willingness to roll up their sleeves and dig into the details.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the annual operating plan and monthly forecasting processes in conjunction with the VP of Finance and CFO.
  • Build data mining tools and sensitivity based financial impact models to drive variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and evaluation of potential investment opportunities or divestures.
  • Train, develop, and mentor FP&A analysts to build a high performing team that is engaged in the strategy of the business.
  • Implement and maintain an enterprise performance management (EPM) system used to report actual results and forecast future financial performance.
  • Develop strong relationships with business leadership to drive meaningful analysis that will support business performance improvements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the Finance organization.
  • Drive financial literacy across business operations with a heavy focus on operating income and free cash flow.
  • Work with IT and the Financial Systems team to develop data visualizations to monitor business KPI's and perform trend analysis in reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis of capital investment requests, proposed price changes, acquisitions, manufacturing optimization, and other ad hoc projects as requested.
 
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of five years of experience in finance or FP&A related role
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinker with exceptional analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a service mentality and a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Results-oriented leader and contributor with a high level of personal accountability for deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Strong accounting foundation with working understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience implementing and/or maintaining an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system
