Position Summary:

As the Pool & Beach Supervisor at Edgewood Tahoe, you set a warm and welcoming tone for our Lodge guests enjoying our lakefront pool and beach area with its panoramic views while assisting with the development, supervision and the management of Pool and Beach team members. You will work closely with the Food and Beverage team to provide exceptional service to our guests that are sipping signature cocktail in the sand, enjoying a light dish in a poolside chair or lounging poolside in a cabana. Maintaining the cleanliness of this area is your top priority. The most important characteristic of our team is that we love inspiring lasting memories for our guests. Essential Functions:

  • Act as quality control ensuring guest satisfaction through training team members properly and adhering to company policy.
  • Perform inventory management, preparing, preserving, presenting and organizing stock and monitoring food supplies. Communicating pars and needs with back of house.
  • Take ownership of the department, lead, motivate and foster a team-oriented work environment.
  • Prepare schedules which properly staff the department for business demands. Manage labor.
  • Supervision of daily set – up and break down of pool and beach.
  • Acknowledge guests promptly and efficiently upon arrival, escort guest to seat, provide towels, offer menu and water, and notify server of guest’s arrival. Establish a good rapport!
  • Coordinate closely with team and management on VIP’s, special request, and group arrivals.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitary procedures.
  • Ensure that team members abide by Nevada State liquor regulations.
  • Operate and understands Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Interact with guest to make sure that they have a pleasing experience.
  • Handle general guest recovery.
  • Communicate needs between front and back of house.
  • Motivate and delegate tasks to employees and making sure they are carried out accordingly.

Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • One year of restaurant supervisor experience recommended.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Possess exceptional problem solving and people skills.
  • Must be passionate in developing and mentoring others within the operation.
  • Have confidence, self-drive and be enthusiastic while making decisions in a time pressured environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, ex; Aloha, Micros, Info-Genesis.
  • Be responsible in handling challenging situations.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
