PB Sales Manager 


JOB TITLE: Providence Beverage Sales Manager STATUS: Exempt

Direct, motivate, and supervise retail to ensure that the sales growth, and product distribution goals are met. Ensure prioritization of Providence Beverage portfolio through effective planning, communication, and execution of brand strategies. Responsible for training and developing the sales personnel to make them the most capable and effective in the state.



Core Job Functions:


  • Manage sales team on monthly business driver initiatives and track success of key retail programs.


  • Supervise, direct, and manage PB sales team results and efficiencies to include effective trade pricing programs within margin guidelines to deliver supplier AOP


  • Communicate program elements across sales organization to improve program efficiencies.


  • Conduct price and distribution surveys


  • Ensure adherence to Diageo/MHUSA/Casamigos brand standards by training and communicating with sales team.


  • Collaborate with Category Director to ensure retail execution metrics are being met


  • Make sales calls to key strategic accounts to assist with program initiatives and standards


  • Directly call on 4M dollars in business


  • Visit and manage 100 non dedicated retail accounts


  • Conduct regular planning and training meetings with applicable sales divisions


  • Work with key supplier personnel in the trade as to develop and execute key brand initiatives at the account level.


  • Serve as conduit of information between division field sales team, category director and supplier marketing (Brand & Local teams.)

Key Accountabilities and Workstreams


  • Supervise, direct and manage off-premise PB Sales team


  • Improve execution on price promotions, distribution, and full line sales


  • Assist in the development of monthly business driver process/KPI’s for key brands


  • Identify lost and gained distribution to improve divisional revenue


  • Effectively communicate across the organization to include supplier issues and changes, product and brand information, pricing information, programs etc


  • Keep informed of all competitive activity in the trade, on sale promotions, off sale pricing and special events in your area. Communicate activity to management and make recommendations to keep the Company competitive.


  • Manage the time and schedule in order to work in the trade and manage key strategic accounts


  • Actively generate Repsly activities to gather insightful retail trade pricing data

Position Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 5 years industry / sales experience
  • Proven ability to develop and effectively lead direct reports
  • Ability to organize and execute plans
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain high level of quality output.
  • Ability to understand and manage budgets, profitability, and expenses.
  • Creativity in regard to problem solving and acting on opportunity
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Continual self-education and knowledge development of new and existing trends, styles, and products within the Supplier portfolio as well as competitive brands.





The sales supervisor is responsible for directly supervising its sales division.


Supervisory responsibilities include: recommending new hires, planning and scheduling work, assigning work, instruct and training in methods, checking and approving work, conducting performance evaluations, making recommendations regarding promotions, and making recommendations regarding unsatisfactory performance.




Close mental and visual attention required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring close coordination and fine adjustment. AND/OR Plan or direct fairly complex work methods or operations that obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.




Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time, ability to move about the office to access various objects, ability to operate office machinery such as a computer, and ability to communicate effectively. Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.




Ability to use a computer, printer, fax machine, photocopier, and telephone


Ability to use the following software: Diver, E-mail, Microsoft Office, Repsly, Trax and Indigo Olive
