Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
The ICF Facility Nurse monitors the on-going medical needs of clients in the ICF/IDD/MH Facilities. Performs on-going nursing assessments and arranges access for clients to other medical services to include physicians, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech, etc. Responsible for the oversight of medication management at the facility. Develops and implements nursing care plans and other clinical documentation.

Requirements: Licensed Practical Nurse with one (1) year clinical experience to include medication administration in a community program, hospital, and nursing home setting. Previous ICF/IDD and/or Mental health experience preferred. Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
