Position Summary...

Assists the Product Development Team by effectively organizing projects for custom sewn, sealed and thermoformed products from initial concept through all aspects of design, development and into manufacturing.

Here is what you will do...

  1. Serves as a positive role model consistent with Polo’s corporate culture at all times.
  2. Ensures that project goals, milestones and timelines are met and accurately completed.
  3. Works with all internal departments and external customers to proactively and efficiently coordinate projects through all stages of design, development and into manufacturing.
  4. Coordinate and lead meetings and calls with internal departments and external customers.
  5. Create project timelines with guidance from assigned project team consisting of Product Development, Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Sales.
  6. Review project folders to ensure proper placement of information and following processes and procedures.
  7. Holds project team members accountable for assigned task completion.
  8. Handles multiple priorities and deadlines of several projects at one time.
  9. Proactively communicates project scope and status or other relevant details to appropriate parties as needed.
  10. Assists with day-to-day activities and special projects in the Product Development department.
  11. Delegates appropriate tasks to project team and other internal departments.

Position Requirements

Here are the minimum requirements...

  • Associates degree in Business Management or general certification in project management/coordination. 
  • 2-3 years project coordination experience is preferred. 

 

Here are the competencies we are looking for...

  1. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word/Windows, Excel, Outlook, Teams. Utilization of Zoom and/or other video conference applications. 
  2. Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Gantt charts to creat timelines. 
  3. Strong organizational skills.
  4. Communicates with customers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner with excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
  5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a Team.
  6. Willing to work extended hours as needed, and possess ability to see project through to completion. 
  7. Stong skills in collaboration and time management.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  9. Professional appearance and demeanor with ability to convey a positive, professional, and capable image to customers and colleagues. 
  10. Interpersoanl skills capable of mainaitaining strong relationships with internal and external customers while ensuring that deadlines are met. 
  11. Enjoys working with internal/external customers.

Here are the physical requirements...

  1. Able to sit 50% of the time while conducting stationary work on computer workstations including mouse, keyboard and monitor.
  2. Frequently communicates via phone, e-mail, or in person to internal and external customers.
  3. Frequently moves about the facility.
  4. Able to travel independently to any location requested.
  5. Able to work in a manufacturing environment with basic hand and power tools.
  6. Able to prepare presentations, prototypes and models.

Here is the typical work environment...

Usually in typical office environment; when in plant environment, could be exposed to noise, fumes, and variation in temperature.
