If you believe you require such assistance to complete this form or to participate in the interview process, please contact the Company.   Description The primary function of this position is to manually unload, using a hand truck and/or electric pallet jack, various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, equipment and supplies) to customers while providing excellent customer service. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. NO CDL REQUIRED! May lead to CDL license after 1 year. Full time 4AM start until return Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist driver in unloading products from the trailer using a liftgate, an electric pallet jack, a hand truck or by hand and place items in designated customer storage areas. Stack product on hand truck following proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy product on light product, labels facing out, adhering to food safety principles, etc.) Adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions. Attend all required company meetings. Qualifications Education/Training Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language as it relates to the job and safety requirements - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds, using safe lifting practices. Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart. Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product and retrieving items from trailer.
