The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible to develop, implement and supervise the hospice bereavement program. Provides bereavement support through grief support, memorial services, family assessment and conference. Responsible for consultation to interdisciplinary team, client and family in issues related to grief and loss. Be a part of the team leading the nation in healthcare.   Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in counseling, theology or related field required; Master's degree in the area of mental health preferred.   Position Requirements Education: • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, theology or related field required; Master’s degree in the area of mental health preferred. Qualifications: • Ability to develop and maintain rapport with caregiver and patients. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team. • Excellent skills in interpersonal relations and organization. • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making abilities. • Demonstrated knowledge of bereavement concepts; ability to relate concepts to personal experience. • Knowledge of community resources and methods for patient/caregiver referrals.   Experience: • Experience in caregiver support and counseling regarding issues of loss, grief, death and dying. • Experience in developing and conducting programs of support. • One year experience in home health care or hospice preferred. • Proficient computer skills preferred.
