PARAMEDIC- Job Description
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and company information.
- Reports verbally and in writing/electronically, their observation and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit, to the receiving medical facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics.
- Assume responsibility for EMS scene in the absence of higher level staff, provide direction and supervision to other employees at an emergency medical scene; provides and directs advance life support patient care and transport.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs.
- Ability to pass Washington State drivers check and a drug urinalysis.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical apparatus and equipment.
Education/Experience:
-High school graduate or GED
-EMT-Paramedic experience preferred but not required
-Ability to interpret local ALS protocols, company policies and procedures, and apply them in specific situations.
Licenses/Certifications:
-Active Washington State EMT-Paramedic Certification with DOH/or completed Paramedic Training and awaiting agency affiliation to complete certification
-Current AHA health care provider CPR, ACLS, PALS
-Maintain/Possess current Washington State driver’s license
Physical Requirements
Job entails interrupted sleep, walking, sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and twisting/turning, manual dexterity, frequent lifting, use of keyboard and hand/eye coordination. Job also requires normal hearing, vision and speaking abilities.
