Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The clinician will provide Behavioral Health treatment services and assistance directly to Veterans and Law Enforcement personnel as a part of a Workforce Wellness program. This clinician should have training and experience in trauma-informed screening, Post Traumatic Stress and Co-Occurring disorders. The clinician will be proficient in providing individual, group and family therapy, with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care, while working from an integrated care model with a wellness foundation. They will provide support to clients to include referrals, scheduling appointments, continuity of care and access to appropriate services. The clinician’s goal is to assist individuals with building a foundation for long term success, the chance to heal, while making an immediate difference in the lives of individuals in order to maintain the highest possible ability to function within the community.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct service, perform and document the intake wellness assessment for clients as needed. Complete treatment appropriate screenings, psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, electronic health record documents, consistent client engagement, document progress and complete all mandatory treatment planning objectives. Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy to clients, with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments, trauma informed, evidence-informed and in collaboration with the Endeavors Wellness Model.
  • 65% Direct Client Service Time
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the client, caregiver, physicians, director, case management and all other disciplines of the Behavioral Health Department or in the community to provide the best care possible.
  • Support and/or attend any outreach events to highlight services, bring clients to the program, and encourage referrals.
  • Attend weekly Mandatory team meetings, Mandatory trainings, clinical consultation and administrative meetings
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service, in everything you do, by placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to “Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.” Perform other duties as required.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Have a Master’s degree in social work or a Master’s degree in counseling.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years’ experience in the mental health or substance abuse field. Experience working with adults, couples, and families is required; Knowledge in Knowledge of DSM-V-TR diagnoses, experience with evidence-based interventions and experience with working with adults who have PTSD, anxiety, depression or other serious mental illnesses is required. Experience working with military populations and/or Veterans and / or Law Enforcement is strongly preferred; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Must be highly organized and detail oriented.

LICENSES: Requires a Texas License as either an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW.

WORK LOCATION: Must have the ability to work both in office setting and remotely from a private location or home office to perform virtual treatment to clients, meetings with staff and perform all work from a remote virtual private and confidential location.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice and possess a valid driver’s license.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Employee should expect to work one evening a week to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served.

Bilingual – Fluent Spanish Language Skills preferred
