The ABH Case Management Technician is responsible for providing basic case management services to long term mentally ill individuals. Responsibilities include: assessing needs, planning goals and objectives, linking individuals to community resources, and monitoring to ensure the individual's needs are met. Will provide counseling to individuals, to include supportive counseling, family assessments and basic crisis intervention.  The primary location will be at the Main A Office with a caseload that may cover both Tazewell and Buchanan Counties.   Position Requirements Knowledge, skills and ability to perform assigned job duties. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in human service related field and one year of direct service experience preferred. Good computer skills are also essential due to data entry in our electronic health record. Candidate must also possess a valid driver's license and good driving record. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
