Salary: $32,635 + $2.50 shift differential

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
The MH Regional Supervised Housing Program is to reduce the length of stay in local and state psychiatric facilities by providing a living environment that will maximize the individuals opportunities and independence by providing quality supports, training and individualized services to individuals with mental health and possible cooccurring substance abuse.
The Community Services Associate II is responsible for providing direct care and supervision of individuals who are seriously mentally ill and/or co-occurring substance use disorder in an intensive supervised residential home toward maintaining community placement; in conjunction with assisting the Program Supervisor in providing direct service treatment and case coordination. Monitors and documents client progress.
Requirements: One year of direct care experience working with adults with serious mental illness, CNA a plus.Valid Virginia Drivers License.Please submit your Department of Motor Vehicle driving record current within the last 60 days.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
