The Receptionist will support the Frederick Living Mission of caring for and enriching the lives of older adults with the following essential responsibilities:

  • Perform receptionist duties including answering the main switchboard, relaying messages to staff, responding to inquiries and directing residents and visitors.
  • Maintain coverage at front desk during scheduled office hours.
  • Provide clerical support as needed.
  • Serve as mailroom liaison, notifying mailroom of address changes and assistance as needed.
  • Initiate maintenance and housekeeping requests for the entire Frederick Living community.
  • Notify appropriate departments of away sheets, returned keys and collection of resident payments.
  • Collect funds and sell tickets for a variety of Frederick Living functions.
  • Abide by the organization’s code of conduct in the performance of their duties.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to reach, finger and perform repetitive movement actions, including walking, standing and sitting for long periods of time to adequately perform the essential functions of the job
  • Ability to feel, hear, see and speak with or without accommodation to adequately perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
