Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.

The Fiscal Grant Coordinator is directly and primarily responsible for the agency's fiscal grant management. The Fiscal Grant Manager will oversee the financial aspects of grant budgeting, forecasting grant expenditures and tracking fiscal status of each grant from various sources. Provides assistance to program leadership in the application process, financial administration and reporting for grants.

  • Manages grant budgets, including forecasting grant expenditures and tracking the fiscal status of each grant.
  • Monitors and controls budgets and reports relating to income and expenditures, monitors and ascertains compliance with state and local funding directives, compiles data, prepares financial reports and maintains budget and risk management records.
  • Prepares grant reports in accordance with grant guidelines.
  • Prepares ad hoc accounting reports that relate to various grants.
  • Prepares monthly expenditure spreadsheets for grants and contracts for management and identifies if there are shortfalls
  • Provides quarterly or annual spot audits for specified programs
  • Manages contributions and disbursements

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Public Administration or related field with 2 years’ experience or five (5) years’ experience in grant budgeting, accounting, and reporting.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
