Share Email Opening Title Surgical Services Assistant (Surgery), FT, 10:00am-6:30pm  Location Joint Township District Memorial Hospital   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Working Shift 10am-6:30pm - Hours may vary depending on case volumes and vacation coverage.   Hours Per Week 40   Description Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Surgical Services Assistant performs procedures relating to patient transport, patient positioning, decontamination of environment, room preparation, and supply control. Collaborates with team members to provide quality care. Supports the Professional Practice & Caring Model Principles practiced at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. May be required to work variable shifts. Performs other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Must meet State mandated criteria. Physical Effort: Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
