Position Summary Sciton is growing rapidly and seeking an Sr. Accountant to support our fast-growing Finance team and ensure that entity financial close and reporting processes are consistent with US GAAP for consolidation purposes. We are looking for an individual to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, be proactive in streamlining business processes, and support an efficient and compliant finance infrastructure. In this role, you will: Participate in general ledger related activities for month end close per close schedule. Prepare consolidated financials and reconcile/analyze elimination impact. Maintain account reconciliation schedules monthly and ensure completeness and accuracy. Perform flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts for the areas of responsibility Research and provide recommendations on accounting matters and document in accounting memos Participate in the implementation of an efficient and effective close and consolidation process Support the completion of both external quarterly/annual audits and compliance reviews for the assigned responsible areas Maintain a system of internal controls that ensures the financial reporting is compliant with GAAP, internal policies and based on current trends in external reporting.   Position Requirements Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. 2-3 years in Big 4 required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, CPA required. Solid understanding of GAAP and strong foundation in operational accounting, prior experience in software capitalization is preferred Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail. Ability to work and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment. Commitment to providing quality work in a timely manner. Team-player and self-starter with a can-do attitude Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel skills required.
