Hydromat Operator (2nd Shift)

Description

The Hydromat Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Hydromat Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications, making adjustments and tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintaining machinery & warehouse equipment.
  • The Operator's position is responsible for machining of components using Hydromat rotary transfer machine while following the documented procedures, including safety procedures
  • Will be responsible for the quality of parts produced
  • Diagnosis, troubleshoot and make adjustments
  • May be assigned to remove and/or replace worn of defective parts
  • Performing routine inspections of Hydromat equipment
  • Must be able to operate and adjust Hydromat machine
  • Requires the use of precision measuring devices i.e., micrometers, calibers, etc.
  • Must be able to work from blueprint drawings with minimum instruction and supervision
  • Will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, oils, and chemicals in a loud manufacturing environment
  • Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Education / Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
  • Hydromat setup experience a plus
  • Occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds and frequently carries up to 60 pounds.
  • Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment and machinery on a regular and continuous basis.
  • Majority of work time is spent standing on concrete and platforms, walking, lifting and bending
  • Ability to work safely, comply with all safety regulations. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout shift.
  • Forklift experience would be beneficial
