Serves as a technical specialist assigned to the IT Help Desk; assists users who are experiencing any procedural or operating difficulty with the use of IT applications, products or services; manage the recording, prioritization, and tracking of user calls, and resolve common incidents directly. Complex and/or high priority incidents are elevated to specialized support groups for resolution, but the incumbent is responsible to ensure that an effective solution is provided to the user. The Incumbent is the point of contact for IT user support needs. Staff assigned to this position will troubleshoot customer technical incidents in a remote support environment and provide limited desktop support to clients to assist in resolving and/or analyzing reported incidents. Logging and tracking user initiated reports of issues to the IT department. Creating and maintaining user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Email systems. Creating and maintaining identification and access badges for users throughout the agency. Processing and managing user terminations in the above mentioned systems. Responsible for ordering supplies and processing services request for copiers and printers throughout the agency. Work is primarily performed in the IT department but may involve going to the user location on or off site on occasion.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or two (2) years related technical support experience. Familiar with various IT applications, software and hardware required.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
