Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Assertive Community Treatment, or ACT is a team of medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitative professionals who use a team approach to meet the needs of an individual with severe and persistent mental illness. Admission criteria include severe and persistent mental illness, predominately Schizophrenia, and high service needs in order to maintain stability.
Performs a variety of functions including typing, dictation, transcription, receptionists and phone duties, appointment scheduling, record keeping, and related administrative tasks. The work may be characterized by interaction with program clients, care givers, and other service providers.

Requirements: One year of clerical and or customer services experience required. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and internet and web based tools (e.g. Zoom). Excellent oral and written communication. Experience in a heath care setting preferred.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
