Position: Grow Compliance Technician

Reports To: Compliance Manager

Location of Position: Skymint, Dimondale, MI

Position Summary

These employees will be cross-trained and have the ability to perform all duties within a designated area. The role of this position is to maintain the compliance aspect within the METRC system and ensure that all numbers or plants recorded are done so with accuracy and efficiency. These employees will work with Compliance managers to stay up on ever changing cannabis regulations.

Grow Compliance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creating plants as an immature/clone batch in METRC
  • Creating plant tags when plants are designated to be transplanted from clones
  • Movement of plants within the tracking system as plants age and move throughout areas of the cultivation facility
  • Record pesticide treatments within the METRC system for specific plants
  • Maintain proper plant count as plants are harvested and transplanted
  • Recording and inputting wet weights, dry weights, waste weights, destruction weights, etc. in the METRC system when plants are harvested, dried, cured, and trimmed, creating package tags within the packaging department
  • Review and adjust plant loading and harvesting to ensure FIFO is being adhered to
  • Report harvest yields of production batches to the system and ensure all recorded data is accurate
  • Pulling samples and submitting them to the lab for specific tests and required analysis
  • Working in a cannabis production facility may expose you to cannabis plant particulates
 
Position Requirements

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortability with fast-paced environment
  • Must have accountability, ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Candidate must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the state; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and laws is appreciated and commendable
  • Good communication, organization, time management, and mathematical skills
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills required
  • Skill in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed
  • Ability to stand, sit and kneel for up to 8 hours a day with the ability to lift heavy objects
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
