We are currently seeking an Assistant  Resident Care Director to join our team.

Pay up to $ 83,000.00 annually based in experience. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Assist the Resident Care Director (RCD) in assuring highest quality resident care is provided in compliance with State regulations and company policies and procedures.
  2. If requested, conduct initial interviews of candidates for the position of the qmaps.
  3. Assist RCD in monitoring daily medication passes to assure compliance with company policies and procedures in the supervision/administration of medications.  Communicates any discrepancies to the RCD.
  4. Assist RCD in monitoring availability of medications.  Communicate any failure to have medications available on a timely basis to the RCD.
  5. Assist RCD in reviewing monthly MARs received from the pharmacy to assure accuracy.
  6. Assist RCD in assuring monthly medication counseling is being conducted and documented for residents who self-administer medications without supervision.
  7. Assist RCD is assuring proper and accurate records are maintained regarding physician orders.  Assure that orders are transcribed accurately onto the MARs.
  8. Participate in daily shift changes.
  9. Assist RCD in assuring that the medication room is clean, organized and uncluttered.
  10. Assist RCD in assuring that proper procedures are adhered to in the receipt and documenting of medications received from delivering pharmacies.
  11. Assist RCD in assuring that monthly vitals are recorded.  Communicate any significant changes to the RCD.
  12. In addition to the Medication Supervisor(s) and other required staff, respond to all STAT pages.
  13. Assist RCD in assuring that MARs are documented according to policy and procedures when medications are received, refused, discontinued, changed.
  14. Assist RCD in assuring that all resident charts are maintained in properly organized manner.
  15. Document in resident charts as needed.
  16. Be present in the dining room, either AL or The Village, as instructed, during lunch service to provide assistance in serving the residents.
  17. Attend all staff meetings, in services, and trainings, as required.
  18. Perform job responsibilities and tasks in a safe, workmanlike manner.  Report any unsafe situation immediately to the RCD or the Executive Director.
  19. Other duties as may be assigned by the RCD or the Executive Director.

 

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

A candidate for Resident Care Director must possess LPN LIcense, exemplary work ethics, excellent communication skills, leadership, supervision and staff development capabilities, organization skills, and a desire to assure that residents are provided with the highest quality of care. Experience in supervising medications and supervising staff in a long-term care setting is required. Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull forty pounds, to move about the facility quickly and be able to physically assist residents daily and in the event of emergencies.
