The successful Compressor Technician candidate will have the duties and meet qualification standards as set out below. Career development advancement to lead positions is encouraged and training with benchmarked proficiencies is provided to successful candidates.

Under the direction of the District Manager, The Compressor Technician will have the following job duties:

  • Travel to customer sites throughout the Four Corners area to service, maintain, install, commission, test, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of compressors, large and small.
  • Willing to work callouts, weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Diagnose and repair engine / compressor failures accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets and other necessary paperwork daily, weekly and or monthly.
  • Assemble and customize compressor packages in the shop.
  • Must be willing to obtain full vaccinations or undergo periodic testing as required by clients.
  • Adhere to safety-oriented work practices.
  • Other duties as assigned to support related operations.
 
Position Requirements

The Compressor Technician shall have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on reciprocating and rotary screw air compressors.
  • Good communication skills and able to work well with others.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to all federal, state and company policies and procedures.
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs, open and close valves and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • General knowledge of oil and gas field production components and operations preferred.
  • Ability to work legally in the U.S.A.

The Compressor Technician shall have the following education and credentials:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent is required.
  • Possession of valid driver's license and meet all company requirements to operate a vehicle in various road conditions.
  • Must pass national background check, motor vehicle report and drug screening.
