Job Title: Supervising MD (FSOH392023)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Position Type: Telemed

Availability: Hours TBD

Behavioral health facility looking for a remote Supervising Physician / Psychiatric MD

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reviews in collaboration with the CEO, Compliance and QA&PI Team protocols pertaining to clinical practices. Makes recommendations for final approval.

Participates and directs Pharmacologic Team Meetings.  Provides guidance to behavioral health providers and is available for consultation and utilization management reviews of high-risk cases.  Provides guidance regarding appropriate medical care.

Oversees and provides direct service pharmacologic management evaluations two days per week.  Provides consultative guidance and collaborates with program directors, clinical supervisor and direct service staff regarding non-pharmacologic clinical evaluations.

Primarily responsible for staying current and knowledgeable of developments pertaining to Pharmacologic Management Services such as drug recalls, new black box warnings, lab tests that must be conducted, reporting requirements.

Understands that all decisions and service practices must comply with FS policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulatory standards. Collaborates with the CEO and QA&PI Team regarding compliance issues.  Make sure that services delivered meet the standard of quality and are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.

Responsible for providing appropriate supervision to staff reporting directly under this position. Ensures that the line of authority is understood, and the person to whom the staff reports.

Exercises an open-door policy and encourages staff input.  Promotes participation in FS internal surveys

Ensures compliance with FS established protocols for the delivery and documentation of services provided. 

Conducts himself/herself at a high standard of professionalism and abides by FS Code of Conduct of Ethical Behavior.  Abide by confidentiality rules of protected health information and observe all client rights.

DOCUMENTATION:

Makes sure that all reports required are completed and submitted on a timely basis. Copies are maintained appropriately, if applicable, as required by laws and regulations.  Monitors compliance of all staff providing Pharmacologic Management or support services to the program.

Participates in employee surveys to promote cooperative, interactive, supportive, collective entrepreneurship.

 

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure:        American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified/eligible MD licensed in the state of North Carolina preferred. 

The person must be qualified by education and training to manage the duties and responsibilities indicated above.

Certification:    Able to participate in Verbal/Physical De-escalation; and FS required professional development trainings.

Other:              Valid  Driver’s License.  Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks and employment drug screen.
