Description

We are seeking a Senior IT Analyst:

The IT Department at Northern Credit Union is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, career-minded individual to join a team of professionals that are dedicated to improving the lives of our members, their families, and our communities.

While exhibiting Humble, Hungry and People Smart Virtues, the Senior IT Analyst is responsible for enhancing the overall experience for internal owners by providing support through continuous education of advances in technology, security measures and best practices for use. The Senior IT Analyst also leads the responsibility for the ongoing performance and maintenance of a wide variety of network and infrastructure technology and systems, as well as working with third party vendors to ensure that Northern’s information technology needs are met. They play a significant role in the department by establishing and driving key technology initiatives that align with Northern’s mission, vision, and strategic direction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Entrusted to independently conduct high risk changes to existing IT environments in response to organizational needs;
  • Provide comprehensive recommendations on the best use of technology based on in-depth analysis of alternative options to balance risk and business needs;
  • Proactively supports the organization’s initiatives and technology by enhancing the Information Technology experience through knowledge and skill;
  • Effectively leads activities for strategic initiatives, large and complex projects, and high-risk organization changes where the results impact several departments, members, and partners;
  • Effectively plans, prioritizes, and coordinates project responsibilities to ensure the solution meets standards and deadlines;
  • Proactively play a substantial role in developing and managing ITO’s yearly budget and contributes to the development, distribution, and adherence of policies related to information technology and information security;
  • Prioritizes the monitoring and maintenance of critical infrastructure to ensure application, systems, and network availability.
  • Consults with end users, ITO team members, department leaders, and stakeholders to develop business processes that align with technology and business needs;
  • Continuously preforms ongoing performance tuning, hardware/software upgrades and OS patches and resource optimization as required;
  • Providing supplemental support in completing end user support requests, ensuring efficient quality service to end users, and communicating progress until resolved; and
  • Provides support to the other members of the department through consistent cross training and development.
