Location: Cathedral City, CA at Desert Princess
Reporting To: Desert Princess CEO
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $80,000-$85,000 DOE

EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE:

Oversees the daily operation of Restaurant, directs and coordinates activities of food service facilities at Main Dining Room and Master's Lounge by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervision. Regular attendance consistent with the scheduled hours is required. Employee is required to work weekends and holidays on a need to basis.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
  • Achieves budgeted revenues and expenses and maximizes profitability related to the food and beverage department.
  • Reviews food and beverage lists to determine that sufficient items are ordered weekly and eliminates or adds items to list.
  • Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations.
  • Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations.
  • Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Restaurant also carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Country Club's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Essential:
  • Must be able to complete tasks and assignments with or without supervision
  • Needs to be self-motivated.
  • Work with multiple tasks and ability to prioritize.
  • Needs to show attention to detail.
  • Be on time on scheduled work days.
  • Must have a current "Food Workers Certificate" at time of employment

Desirable:

  • Prior Resort experience.
  • Experience in the customer service industry.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
