Our office is currently seeking a Patient Care and Insurance Coordinator to join the team with the hours of Monday - Friday: 8:30am-5:30pm (1 hour lunch break).
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Answer phones
- Patient check in/checkout
- Schedule appointments
- Verify insurance for new patients and new insurance for existing patients in advance
- Check new patient appointments for the coming week, add insurance information to patient record, and verify the insurance benefits
- Verify new insurance as you are able for existing patients who bring updated information to their appointments
- File claims and requests for pre-determination of benefit. Ideally this is done either at the end of the day - or first thing in the morning for the previous day - after the doctors have verified all posted procedures
- Post payments as they arrive
- Answer questions from patients about their insurance or claims
- Speak to patients in the office about money owed, make payment arrangements
- Accounts receivable/payments including resolving outstanding and problem claims
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years dental experience preferred
- Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with your co-workers and patients
- Driven personality to want to strive to be the best in your profession and provide the best care for our patients.
