Share Email Opening Title Contract EMT or Paramedic (Patient Transport), PT, Various Shifts  Location Joint Township District Memorial Hospital   Full-Time/Part-Time Part-Time   Working Shift Various Shifts   Hours Per Week Varies as Needed   Description This position will: Assess patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment Provide first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients Transport patients safely in an ambulance Transfer patients to the emergency department of a hospital or other healthcare facility Report their observations and treatment to physicians, nurses, or other healthcare facility staff Document medical care given to patients Inventory, replace, and clean supplies, as well as equipment after use   Position Requirements Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Licensure: Minimum Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate, with Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic preferred. Experience: 6 months related experience and / or training. Skills: Ability to concentrate for long periods of time, work independently and exercise good judgment. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and critically think with normal amount of RN oversight. Basic knowledge of keyboarding, Microsoft Office, office equipment. Obtains and maintains successful completion of BCLS Healthcare Provider Course. Obtains and maintains successful completion of an approved Basic Telemetry Course. Obtains and maintains successful completion of ACLS, highly recommended.
