We genuinely care about people and consider our workforce the most significant asset. Your role at MOBE: We are looking for an Analytics Intern to join our growing team for Summer 2023. The internship will be a 12-week program from June - August. During this time, you will gain hands on experience investigating and solving several exploratory and investigative projects in the Analytics team at MOBE. The analytics team at MOBE is made up of Data Science, Business Intelligence, Actuarial Science, and Analytics Engineering. Responsibilities: In general, we expect candidates to: Work diligently on the assigned projects, collaborating with the analytics team and project manager as appropriate. Learn and utilize appropriate tools and technologies to complete the project. These include SQL, Tableau, Excel, DBT, GitLab, and/or Python. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns within large datasets. We expect interns to not only work with the data, but also contribute to discussion and next steps of the work. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and analytics thinking. Be a self-starter that can work independently on defined tasks and priorities, seek out guidance/assistance when issues arise, or require clarification Communicate and articulate results verbally and written. We expect interns to give an internal mid-point review as well as a final report on the project and outcomes they've achieved.   Position Requirements Qualifications: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics or a related field Rising Senior or Junior in undergrad or master’s Program Located in or around Minneapolis, MN and work in the MOBE office a minimum of 3 days a week.
