Description

SUMMARY
Lead Security Officer must provide effective patrol, strong community relations and professional communication to the Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises. Communicates the strategic direction of the department to the team members.  Provides day-to-day operational guidance while performing daily task. Assist Property Security Manager when needed. In addition, other duties and responsibilities may be requested of you, which are not specified in your job duties, Facility Post Orders and SOPs; the ability to react and accomplish tasks assigned, is a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Leadership
2. Lead and drive the security operations for assigned shift.
3. Ensure all Tribal Laws, regulations and SOP(s) are being followed.
4. Tracks progress and monitors team members ensuring deadlines are met.
5. Provides clarification to team members regarding practices and policies of the organization.
6. Provides on-the-job training and orientation to the department or team processes.
7. May monitor attendance and ensures attendance policy is followed by team members.
8. Community Relations.
9. Build strong relationships with members of the casino organization.
10. Ensure security's positive reputation with all guest, employees and members.
11. Must be a liaison between the facility manager and their subordinates.
12. Address guest complaints.
13. Communication
14. Clearly communicate with officers, casino staff, patrons, OPG, etc. (both verbal and written)
15. Compose and structure written documents for management and other individuals.
16. Use presentation skills to convey a point or deliver information to staff.
17. Review assigned officer’s work for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, etc.
18. Responsible for communicating task or projects to team members.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE
Previous casino experience preferred.
Previous security experience preferred.

This classification is a “safety sensitive” position as defined by MNGE. As a “safety sensitive” classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
