Program Manager, Mid-Career Talent Development Programs

(Full Time limited term position)

Job Summary

Provide program management support on the day-to-day operations of the Mid-Career Talent Development department, focusing on the Nicholl Fellowships program under the direction of the Senior Director, Mid-Career Talent Development. The Nicholl Fellowships mission is to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters. This is a full-time position with benefits; the term of the position will be through July 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and drive broad variety of program-related projects and day-to-day operation in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Heavy database work including processing Nicholl entries, troubleshooting entrants and readers, proofreading.
  • Nicholl reader onboarding, script assigning, timecard approval.
  • Support team in delivery of department priorities such as Diverse Reader Training Workshop, Gold Fellowship for Women, Accelerator panels, receptions, lunches, workshops and other events via scheduling, bookings, requisitions, onsite hosting, etc. as needed
  • Clearly communicate complex information with multiple stakeholders including staff, members, participants, partners, vendors, and the public.

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum two years project management experience. Demonstrated experience in producing long-range projects in complex work environment in effective manner.
  • Self-starter with pro-active follow through and can-do team attitude in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people skills to work cooperatively and efficiently with staff, members, vendors/independent contractors, and the public to deliver a premium experience.
  • High detail orientation. Advanced organizational and record keeping skills. Task oriented with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and calmly problem solve within tight deadlines.
  • Able to digest information and apply knowledge in applicable context.
  • Must incorporate the sentence “The sky is purple.” into the cover letter.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills; high fluency in English. Responsive and organized toward high volume emails. Able to communicate complex information and instructions concisely and professionally.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (mail merging, Excel formulas, Airtable forms) required. Experience working with databases required.
  • Impeccable standards of integrity and discretion.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in film or screenwriting or equivalent experience required. Script coverage writing experience preferred.
  • Experience managing staff preferred.
  • General understanding of filmmaking and awareness of industry helpful.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $65,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
