Instructional Coordinator 

Description

Promote, support and collaborate with faculty and staff to deliver High Quality Instruction.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of new programs that reflect projected needs of the community’s skilled technological workforce.
  2. Research and recommend revisions on curricula, instructional methods and materials for existing programs to assure technological currency and relevancy to community industries.
  3. Provide support for teachers, to assure that high quality of instruction and the utilization of classroom learning strategies are most appropriate for the curriculum and consistent with District objectives.
  4. Collect, compile and disseminate curriculum objectives and program information to both internal and external customers. This process will promote the mission, programs and learning services of the District, assuring programs alignment across multiple campuses, as well as between full-time programs (courses) and short-term classes.
  5. Provide documentation regarding the curriculum in order to sustain cooperative agreements, accreditation and industry certifications from various agencies or professional organizations.
  6. Assure connection to internal and external customers through attendance at district, state and national sponsored meetings and events.
  7. Provide leadership training to facilitate, and support for the development, delivery and assessment of courses utilizing the District’s learning management system.
  8. Collaborate with the administration to determine and develop the career major courses that could be offered via online learning and assist instructors in implementing such courses.
  9. Develop, conduct or participate in professional development activities designed to promote innovation and quality instruction.
  10. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
  11. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions regarding the provided services to internal and external customers. Interpret and implement policies in a manner consistent with the interests of the District. Provide advice and consultation to executive management as requested. Investigate and resolve issues as needed, represent the department and District in a professional manner to all.
 
Position Requirements
  • This position requires a minimum of three years experience as classroom teacher, instructional designer or industry/corporate trainer
  • OK Standard Teaching Certification in Secondary Education is required
  • High proficiency in computer applications
  • Must remain current with all aspects of e-learning
  • Valid, State Issued Driver's License
  • Bilingual is a Plus

Education Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred.  
Salary Schedule 12 Month Instructor  
Hiring Range $62,897 to $70,066 per year dependent upon education and experience plus additional $7,200 compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.

About the Organization Tulsa Tech is the oldest and largest career & technical training center in OK. We are an independent public school district, with multiple campuses in the Tulsa County area. Our school serves secondary students from public school districts throughout Tulsa County, as well as private, parochial and home-schooled students. A significant adult enrollment is also served throughout the year in both full and part-time training programs. We also provide custom training programs for business and industry in NE Oklahoma.
