Description

Seeking a motivated, dedicated, hard-working, reliable Caregiver Scheduling Coordinator with 1 - 2 yrs of scheduling experience to join our FirstLight Home Care team. The right candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be a multi-tasker & have excellent communication skills. This individual wants to have fun with what they are doing and make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families. This is an exempt status position with additional compensation for daily on-call phone duties as well as alternate weekends in a rotation with other office staff.

Scheduler responsibilities include:

  • Effectively establishes a rapport with caregivers and clients
  • Creates and maintains caregiver schedules and database
  • Schedules client appointments/visits according to care plans and caregiver availability
  • Calls/notifies any clients currently in overtime hours for the week
  • Follows up on candidate onboarding paperwork
  • Conducts orientation on an as-needed basis
  • Organizes employee files and keeps files up-to-date
  • Contacts care providers and clients regarding day-to-day changes
  • Daily On-Call Duties (two weekends off per month)
 
Position Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of related scheduling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to create and nurture long-lasting relationships
  • Ability to effectively manage the demands of the job
