ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow all ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Procedures and Work Instructions relevant to your work area. Have the ability to read blueprints and understand the measurements on the blueprints compared to the tool being worked on. Using a dial indicator, check face detail and measure parallel and height differences, making sure that the part is made properly according to the blueprint. Use various polishing stones to remove the rough finish or burrs from the tooling and make it smooth. Apply diamond paste and use dremmel to polish tools. Operate the draw furnace by placing tools in the oven for the correct amount of time and at the proper temperature to harden tooling. Keep prints organized in filing cabinets as reference to what tools have been worked on. Must have the ability to use the following gages: micrometer, snap gages, depth micrometer, dial calipers, drop gage, and Mitutoyo Comparitor.   Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. REASONING ABILITY Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. .
