Summary:

Piering Crew Leader will be responsible for a crew that completes residential projects. Crew leader will lead a crew to complete foundation projects at a high quality and safety standard.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Create a team atmosphere that focuses on providing exceptional customer service
  • Assign and manage the crew’s daily tasks and ensure that goals are being met
  • Communicate with the production manager on all jobs
  • Exercise effective communication with the crew, management, and customers
  • Complete residential foundation/waterproofing projects by following a pre-determined repair plan
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of jobsites, workspaces, and company vehicles
  • Productively and safely help in the repair of foundations, drainage systems, and concrete leveling services.
  • Handling and transporting materials and equipment
  • Handle and use power tools (such as Jack hammers, drills, saws).
  • Use machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
  • Reading and following plans, blueprints, or scopes of work
  • Continuance of training and learning all aspects of the jobs
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Certification/Licensure: Driver’s License required. Class E prior to start date

Language Skills: Able to communicate with Production Manager

Other Qualifications:

  • 5 years piering experience
  • 2 years experience leading a crew
  • Experience running both helical and push piers
  • 1+ years experience running an excavator/skid steer
  • Ability to pull a trailer
  • Punctual
  • Team oriented
  • Willing to learn and execute work to our standards
  • Mechanically inclined
  • High problem solving ability
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, engineered drawings, and scopes of work
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Able to obtain required licenses and certifications
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods, repetitive tasks and motions etc.)
  • Committed to safety rules

Compensation: $25/hr plus bonus per piering job completed
