GENERAL FUNCTION

The RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) Account Representative is the key to success in helping our customers manage their day-to-day insurance operations and to keep insurance receivables clean and revenue flowing back into their practice. VisionWeb is currently looking for highly motivated and driven candidates to oversee the day-to-day insurance operations for Optometry providers across the United States. This is not a direct input billing position. We need someone who loves to work as a team to audit and analyze insurance receivables and will provide exceptional support to our clients. Candidates should have recent experience in Optometry billing with a strong knowledge of medical and vision payers. This is a remote (work from home) position that requires a full 8 (consecutive) hour workday during daytime business hours, Monday through Friday. Part time and/or flexible hours are not available for this position.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide consistent and continuous customer support via phone, email, and GoToMeeting for RCM customers with multiple points of contact.
  • Monitor between 15-20 customer accounts to identify revenue trends and proactively engage the client with solutions and updates.
  • Identify, research, and resolve account concerns and claim issues; reported by the customer, internal team, and partner within 24-48 hours.
  • Work clearinghouse rejections for customers and create missing information requests or send corrected claims.
  • Work denials and aging reports to ensure maximum reimbursement for vision and medical claims.
  • Oversee daily operations of RCM processing teams to ensure continuous flow of revenue for accounts. This is not a direct input billing position.
  • Train clients on RCM tools and expectations to obtain maximum reimbursement
  • Provide basic technical website and PC support to enable customers to use our solutions
  • Effectively use multiple company tools to document customer interactions and account updates (Salesforce, Sharefile, etc.)
 
Position Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three years’ experience with customer facing customer service
  • Minimum of three years’ experience with medical and/or vision insurance billing practices in an optometry setting
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and Optometry CPT codes
  • Knowledge of spectacle lenses, contact lenses, and frames
  • Knowledge of Vision Payers including VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, Versant Health
  • Experience working in at least one (1) Optometry specific Practice Management System
  • Experience working in ZirMed, TriZetto, and/or Emdeon to submit claims, process rejections, and send corrected claims
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels through verbal and written modes
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills, able to act with an appropriate sense of urgency to resolve problems
  • Ability to critically think through problems in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working independently
  • Must be able to work a full and consecutive 8-hour day during daytime business hours (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday
  • The ability to work from home with minimal supervision and distraction
  • Stable high-speed internet connection with a quiet, private home office location
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office suite of products
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and CMS compliance standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPC or CPOC Certification
  • Hands on experience with claims filing for optical orders
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Experience using remote connection software
  • Experience working in multiple Optometry Practice Management Systems (Revolution, Crystal PM, Uprise, OfficeMate, Eyefinity)
