The Quality Control Auditor is imperative to the growth, stability, and QC of McFarling Foods. The QC Auditor is responsible for auditing orders on the dock to ensure the correct quantity and products are shipped to the customer. Auditors assist in maintaining an acceptable error rate on orders shipped according to guidelines. The right candidate must be able to work independently to uncover and find solutions. In addition, the right candidate must have the ability to multi-task and be solutions-driven.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Verify, investigate, and audit production processes and their conformance to QA standards and procedures.
  • Design, create and establish a quality control audit checklist.
  • Ensure high-quality standards at all levels of operations and management levels.
  • Develop, monitor, and track audit data and process improvements in all picked items.
  • Assist and support teams in conducting quality control audits and inspections.
  • Responsible for random selection of pallets for audit.
  • Identify, document and implement, best practices for warehouse management processes and inventory control procedures.
  • Use a scanner to ascertain items and quantities on a pallet and match items to check for accuracy, damage, that labels are facing out, and correct stacking method was used.
  • Coordinate with order selectors to make corrections to pallets.
  • Fill out an error worksheet for any errors denoting corrections to be used for possible disciplinary action.
 
Position Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, Associates' degree preferred, and at least two years of Auditing experience in a distribution/warehouse environment. Working knowledge of handheld scanning devices is required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills are a must. Experience working within an industrial/warehouse environment. Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack.Must be able to communicate with order selectors, loaders, and supervisors successfully. Ability to work in a cold environment with temperatures ranging from 30 to -15 degrees. Excellent attendance is an essential function of the job. Willingness to work the required schedule.
