Position Summary: Member of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry Payroll processing.

Qualifications required:

  • Associate Degree
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Working knowledge of Ascentis/UKG Payroll System
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • General accounting background preferred

 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Processing of weekly time and attendance in UKG Payroll System
  • Processing Weekly Payroll in UKG Payroll System
  • Book weekly payroll via Journal Entry in GL
  • Reconcile taxes and wage, insurance deductions, wage garnishments, prepare reports for state and federal governments as required
  • Approve and process health and benefits insurance invoices for payment
  • Develop and run various payroll reports for management use
  • Prepare payroll reports and schedules for yearly CPA audit and work with auditors during audit as needed
  • Prepare “need right now” special ad-hoc payroll reports as needed by management
  • Assist Controller with other tasks as needed on a time-available basis.
  • Assist with annual Worker Compensation Audit
  • Assists all others in corporation to facilitate smooth office operation
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel.
  • Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Must Follow All company Policies and Procedures
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • General computer skills
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Familiar with ERP and related accounting processes
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team player
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
