ProMedica Senior Care, formerly HCR ManorCare, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, assisted living, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice care, home health care and rehabilitation therapy.

ProMedica Hospice, formerly Heartland Hospice, is searching for a full-time experinced HR professional to fulfill the role as a HR Generalist.  

Responsible for coordinating general Human Resources activities within the agency, including but not limited to training and development, recruiting, updating/implementing changes related to company personnel policies, procedures, and regulations, and maintaining personnel files in accordance with state, federal, and company requirements.

  • Handling preemployment items to include drug testing, background, reference, licensure check
  • Ensuring employee files are complete and up to date
  • Performing exit interviews
  • Monitoring unemployment claims
  • Assisting with employee relations
  • Providing general orientation
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll, benefit, and employment policies
  • Local HR contact for employee questions related to benefits, policies and payroll

Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree required. Emphasis in human resource management preferred.  
Position Requirements

Minimum 1 year prior human resources or employee training and development experience, preferred; Demonstrated computer skills desirable.
